Quantavis Kleckley – Dunkirk Marauders (B3)
After a solid week one, Kleckley followed up with 136 yards rushing and 2 scores in the Marauders 24-22 come-from-behind win at Tonawanda.
D’Jae Perry – Bennett Tigers (AA)
Perry picked up 110 yards on only five carries and scored two touchdowns, a 15-yard rushing TD and he also caught a 40-yard TD pass in the Tigers 51-7 win over Lockport.
Cole Snyder – Southwestern Trojans (C – South)
Snyder had a typical day 17 of 25, 223 yards and three touchdown passes. He also carried the ball eight times, racking up 39 yards and had two more rushing touchdowns. The Trojans are 2-0 and host Portville on Friday.
Jack Putney – Clarence Red Devils (AA)
Putney completed 15 passes for 262 yards and threw 3 TD passes. He also led Clarence in rushing with 95 yards.
Jake Ritts – St. Francis Red Raiders (MMAA)
Ritts had another solid night under center for the Red Raiders tossing three touchdown passes of 60, 29 and 30 yards respectively. St. Francis fell to Erie (PA) 34-21.
Joell Colon – Fredonia/Brocton (B3)
Colon rushed for 129 yards on just 10 carries for the Hillbillies. He also had 3 touchdowns in their 50-14 win over Alden. Fredonia improves to 2-0 on the season.
Ugene Harrison – Albion Purple Eagles (B2)
Harrison was simply put, dynamic in Albion’s 43-8 win over Lackawanna Friday. It was one of the feature games of the weekend and the senior running back rose to the occasion. Harrison rushed nine times for 114 yards and 3 TD’s. He also made a highlight reel one-handed interception early in the first half.
Javon Thomas – Cleve-Hill Golden Eagles (C – North)
Thomas had an explosive game in the Golden Eagles 36-28 win over Wilson. 219 yards on the ground and two rushing touchdowns made up Thomas’s day. He had another 2 rushing TD’s called back for penalties, including one that was over 65 yards.
Steve Frerichs – Wilson Lakemen (C – North)
The Lakemen found a way to “play” with Cleve-Hill on Saturday and put up a close game with one of their top rivals. Frerichs played exceptionally well going 19-32, 279 yards and threw 3 TD passes. On defense Frerichs made 10 tackles and recovered a fumble.
Michael Stillman – Portville (C – South)
Stillman delivered on the ground and through the air in Portville’s 37-19 win over Allegany-Limestone. Stillman rushed for two touchdowns and threw a couple as well. A 24-yarder to Noah Pullins and a 44-yard bomb to Dalton Tobola.
Gerrit Hinsdale – Clymer/Sherman/Panama Wolfpack (Class D)
Hinsdale had a great night in leading CSP over Maple Grove 55-20. The junior QB was 10 of 12 for 126 yards and three TD’s. It was the first time the Wolfpack beat the Red Dragons. They meet again in Week 6.
Jaden Heers – Newfane (B3)
Heers did it on offense and on defense in the Panthers 35-8 win over Burgard last Thursday. Heers finished with 173 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Defensively, Heers made six tackles, forced a fumble and recovered another.
Jack Dlugokinski – Grand Island Vikings (A1)
The Vikings rebounded in week 2 with an 18-14 win over McKinley. Jack Dlugokinski rushed for two TD’s, 33 and 2 yard scores respectively.
Dylan Mann – Williamsville North Spartans (AA)
Mann was the “spark plug” that kept the Spartans going in their 42-35 OT win over Clarence. Picking up 189 yards rushing and 2 scores. Mann also threw a TD pass.
Robbie Penhollow – Casadaga/Falconer (C – South)
Penhollow had another big night on the gridiron leading Cassadaga/Falconer over Chautauqua Lake 32-13. The senior found the endzone on four different occasions. Penhollow had touchdown runs of 7, 55 and 3 yards respectively. He also had a 50-yard TD reception in the 4th quarter to help put the game away.
