Connolly Cup Week 5 Top Performers

Alex Card – Senior WR – Southwestern

– Card set two school records last Friday in the Trojans 50-20 win over Olean. The senior caught four TD passes and had 222 yards receiving. Both new Southwestern records.

Cole Snyder – Senior QB – Southwestern

  • Snyder set a new school record for passing yards (340). He also threw five TD passes and ran for another score as well.

Shaun Dolac – Senior QB/LB – West Seneca East

  • Dolac turned in another outstanding performance in one of the biggest games of the season. The Trojans beat previously unbeaten South Park 15-6 to claim the top spot in A3. Dolac scored a touchdown and had a two-point conversion to help seal the win.

John Speyer – Senior RB – West Seneca West

  • Speyer had a 69-yard TD run and rushed for 179 yards in the Indians 40-14 win over Jamestown.

Christian Veilleux – Junior QB – Canisius

  • The Ottawa, ON native made his debut in one of the fiercest rivalries in WNY high school football on Friday, leading Canisius to a 34-28 win over St. Joe’s. Veilleux orchestrated a winning TD drive to seal the deal for Canisius. The juion QB finished with 205 yards passing and three TD’s.

Micah Brown – Junior QB – St. Joe’s

  • Brown had three rushing TD’s and ran for 79 yards in the Marauders 34-28 loss to Canisius.

D’Jae Perry – Senior RB – Bennett

  • Perry was relentless in his pursuit of the end zone last Thursday in the Tigers win over Lancaster. Perry finished with 274 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Jason Mansell – Sophomore QB – Lancaster

  • Mansell was 16-of-30 for 261 yards and four TD’s in the Legends loss at Bennett Thursday night.

Aaron Chase – Senior QB – Starpoint

  • Chase put the Spartans back on the winning track Friday with a 62-33 win over Williamsville South. The senior was 19-24 for 384 yards and six touchdowns.

Kyler Majka – Senior QB/DB – Chautauqua Lake

  • Majka found his rhythm Friday in Chautauqua Lake’s 39-21 win over Portville Friday. The senior completed 10-of-12 passes for 202 yards and three touchdown passes.

Keshone Beal – Senior QB – Cheektowaga

  • Beal did it on the ground (105 rushing yards) and through the air (104 passing yards) in Cheektowaga’s 33-0 win over Lackawanna Saturday evening. Beal also had a touchdown run. The Warriors defense have four shutouts in five games.

LeMorris Jones – Senior RB/LB – Maritime Charter/Health Sciences

  • Morris had 14 carries for 203 yards and a TD (61-yard run) in leading Maritime/Health Sciences to the team’s first ever win, 44-22 over Medina.

Brayden Dunlap – Junior RB – Wilson

  • The Tigers running back terrorized JFK Friday rushing for 206 yards and two scores in Wilson’s 35-14 win to pick up another much needed win in Class C North.

Aaron Wahler – Senior RB – Cleve-Hill

  • Wahler scored three rushing TD’s (10, 17, 40) in the Golden Eagles 30-0 win over Silver Creek/Forestville Saturday. Cleve-Hill hosted this game on their brand new turf field.

Cam Sionko – Senior QB – Grand Island

  • The senior led the Vikings to a big win Saturday over Williamsville East 48-14, cementing themselves in first place of A2. Sionko completed 21-of-25 passes good for 281 yards and two touchdowns. The Vikings have won four straight.

Dylan Kelly – Senior WR / LB – Williamsville North

  • Kelly had two touchdowns and an interception in Williamsville North’s 35-13 win over Orchard Park.
