Nina Stephens and Rachel Kowalski were noted as having great defensive games for South.

Medina 4, Wilson 0

For the second time this week Medina was able to shutout their opponent; yesterday being Wilson. The 4-0 win moves the Mustangs into a 3rd place tie with Akron in the N-O league, whom they beat 2-0 on Tuesday.

Medina will head to Buff Sem on Monday before playing host to Barker Tuesday afternoon. Wilson will look to get back on track when they travel to Akron next Tuesday.

Barker 2, Roy-Hart 1

Barker Head Coach Jeff Costello made it a point to his team ahead of the game that they must get out ahead of Roy-Hart early if they were to have a chance to win; that they did.

Barker drew first blood when Ciara Gregoire scored @ 27:43 in the first half. Katrina Clare followed up with a goal of her own a few minutes later to help Barker earn a 2-0 lead six minutes into the game.

It wasn’t until the 2nd half that Roy-Hart’s Miah Glena (assist from Ashley Hill) was able to get her team on the board. Roy-Hart amped up the intensity heading into the final stretch of the game; an effort that would bring the crowd to their feet. Barker would ultimately outlast the pressure to win the game 2-1.

Barker’s win places them atop the N-O league.. for now. The race for the N-O league title is far from over as both teams sit at 5-1 in league play and will square off again on October 16th @ Barker.

West Seneca West 1, Holland 0

Emerson Hall scored for West Seneca West in their 1-0 win over Holland. Katie Bohne recorded her 4th shutout of the season.

Clarence improves to 7-1 on the year while Orchard Park slips to 3-4-1.
