The Raiders take the title game of the Maroon Classic with 2-0 win over the Flyers.

Boys soccer:


NT 3, Kenmore West 0
Tyler MacNeil (two goals) and Vinnie Chiodo (two assists) set the tone as NT blanked Ken-West, 3-0.
The Lumberjacks are now 3-0 overall after winning the Durick Memorial Tournament over the weekend.

Lancaster 2, St. Francis 0
Goals by Tyler Eisman and Jacob Klimczak lead the Legends to victory.


Tonawanda 2, Alden 0
Hayden Lilly scored twice and Devon Carey made seven saves as the Warriors beat the Bulldogs, 2-0, I the league opener for both teams.


Girls volleyball

Niagara-Wheatfield 3, Lockport 0
The Section VI Class AA title runner-up Falcons opened NFL play with a sweep of Lockport: 25-13, 25-13 and 25-18.

Jenna Sonnenberg had 12 digs, while Danielle Brochy and Katie Kostiw had six kills each for N-W. MacKenzie Franks (12 kills) and Emily Brochy (nine aces) were also key.

Kourtney Krchniak was tops for the Lady Lions with 15 assists and seven kills.

Kenmore West 3, Niagara Falls 0
Coach Brittany Lis picked up her first varsity win as the Blue Devils beat the Wolverines 25-13, 25-22 and 25-19. Sam Veronica (13 assists, eight aces), Rachel Valente (five kills) and Chloe Moore 10 digs led West to victory.

Kenmore East 3, CSAT 0
Jordan Taylor had eight kills and nice aces, while Maya Maccagnano had seven kills as the Bulldogs swept the Eagles in coach Julie Becker’s return to Ken-East.

Becker (KE Class of 1993) coached the Lady Bulldogs from 1997-2009 before moving over to Starpoint girls volleyball. KE won by scores of 25-19, 25-7 and 25-13.

Elise Jones had five kills for CSAT, which is in its third year in the NFL.
