The Upstate New York Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame has announced that this years recipient of the Stanbro Media Award will be presented to Matt O’Rourke.
O’Rourke has been the main contributor for high school wrestling news out of WNY since 2017 and has been featured in various publications, online forums and websites. WNYAthletics.com is where O’Rourke posts the bulk of his work that include, wrestling recaps, weekly rankings, Wrestler of the Week award, and livestream commentary.
O’Rourke will receive the award during the organizations annual ceremony being held September 25, 2022.
This is the first State wide award won by a WNYAthletics.com writer.
