The WNY top ranked Eagles completed the 2024-2025 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association (CCAA) Division I wrestling slate on Tuesday with a 54-22 win at Portville to secure a third straight division title and unbeaten season in the league. CL is now 18-0 in CCAA I duals over the last three seasons while claiming three Section VI Dual Meet titles in the same time.
After a high stakes showdown at home with fellow WNY small school heavyweight and league archrival Falconer on Jan. 23, a 39-28 victory for the Eagles, Chautauqua took down WNY ranked Honorable Mention squad Randolph in a CCAA crossover before a third straight appearance at the NYSPHSAA Wrestling Dual Meet Championships last Saturday.
Going undefeated for the Eagles in all six league duals this year were freshman Zander Lombardo (108/114-pounds), sophomore Thandon Bensink (124/131), freshman Jordin Eddy (138/145), and senior Mason Maring (285).
Chautauqua Lake completes the 2024-2025 dual meet season exceeding the 20-win mark with a final record of 21-6.
