In a game which had the looks to be a defensive slug fest early finally got going late into the second quarter with senior quarterback of the Starpoint Spartans Mike Grady connecting with senior receiver Cohen Vogel on a bomb deep down the sideline for their first touchdown of the night. Following that score with a field goal minutes later after a special team’s miscue by the Falcons put the Spartans up double digits deep into the second quarter and they never looked back.
