WNY Athletics Boys Wrestler of the Week presented by D&E Dream Builders: Colton Hamilton

Clymer sophomore Colton Hamilton has been selected as the WNY Athletics Boys Wrestler of the Week presented by D&E Dream Builders for the week of Monday, December 30th, 2024 – Sunday, January 5th, 2025.

Colton posted a 3-0 record at the Section VI Division II Dual Meet Championships on Saturday to help the Eagles to a third consecutive sectional title. First, he collected a forfeit against Salamanca, then a pin against Gowanda in the semifinal before a crucial come from behind pin against Newfane in the championship dual to help spark the Eagles.

In his first season as a starter in the lineup, Colton carries a current record of 23-6 with top-4 place finishes at Byron-Bergen, STWOA, and the Linda Knuutila Memorial. According to his coaches, Colton looks forward to taking on bigger challenges and responsibilities as an important part of the lineup and has found success in large part due to his commitment to offseason wrestling.

Colton is a balanced student-athlete as well carrying an honor roll GPA.
