St. Joe’s senior Aidan Schenk has been selected as the WNY Athletics Boys Wrestler of the Week presented by Petruzzi Insurance Agency for the week of Monday, February 3rd – Saturday, February 8th, 2025.
Aidan posted a 3-0 week picking up a pin in the Marauders’ dual against Section V heavy hitter Brockport before capturing the 170-pound title at the Msgr. Martin All-Catholic Championships. Aidan earned two pins on the way to his third All-Catholic title on Saturday while contributing to the team score as St. Joe’s secured the tournament team title.
Aidan has been a big part of the Marauders’ team for four years as he is the only four-year wrestling senior on the 2024-2025 roster. According to his coaches, Aidan is the type of character student-athlete that all programs need. He is a captain on the team and the first to arrive for practice. He is the type of practice partner that helps others improve. Likewise, Aidan doesn’t miss school so his coaches are always able to rely on him to lead and be available to compete.
Aidan is a returning 5th place winner at the CHSAA Championships and intends on entering the workforce to master a trade after high school.
