Eden senior midfielder Colby Sroda has been selected as the WNY Athletics Boys Lacrosse Athlete Of the Week following the Section VI boys lacrosse championships.
Sroda netted six goals in Eden’s 15-6 win over Salamanca in the Class D title game on Wednesday. Sroda set the pace and the tone for the Raiders scoring five of his six goals within the first eight scores of the night for Eden. Not only was Sroda the top scoring player for Eden, he was dominate at the face off, putting the ball in the offensive end of the field on nearly every reset of the night to help the Raiders control the time of possession and limit the normally high scoring Warriors offense to an unusually low amount of possession time. Not only was Colby instrumental in leading the offense, but he was critical in the transition area of the field recording ground balls and causing numerous turnovers throughout the game.
