North Tonawanda senior Camerin Holmes has been selected as the first WNY Athletics Wrestler of the Week for the 2019-2020 season (Tuesday, 11/26 – Saturday, 11/30).
In helping to lead the Lumberjacks to the 2nd Annual St. Mary’s Lancer Duals title with a 5-0 team record, including a win over a ranked small school squad, Holmes had a perfect 5-0 individual record on the day winning all five matches by pin. Holmes is the lone returning Section VI Division I tournament qualifier on the squad and one of the ‘Jack’s team leaders.
In addition to his wrestling achievements, Camerin is the definition of a student-athlete as he holds a 90 average while also participating in three sports. Holmes was a star on the gridiron as a key piece of the Lumberjack’s offensive attack and has committed to play baseball for Niagara County C.C. next year.
